Terms of Use

Effective May 19, 2026. Pocketboy is governed by Apple’s standard End User License Agreement (the “Licensed Application End User License Agreement”) plus the supplementary terms below.

Apple’s Standard EULA

The default Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to your use of Pocketboy. The full text is published by Apple at:

That EULA, together with the rules in your Apple ID’s media-services terms, is the master agreement between you and Hankinsoft Development, Inc. regarding the Pocketboy app.

Pocketboy Premium subscription

• Auto-renewing. The Monthly and Yearly plans renew automatically at the end of each period through Apple’s App Store. The Lifetime upgrade is a one-time non-consumable purchase.
• Pricing. Monthly $0.99, Yearly $9.99 (a 16% saving vs monthly), Lifetime $19.99. Prices are shown in your App Store’s local currency at purchase time.
• Free trial. Monthly comes with a 7-day free trial for first-time subscribers. Cancel before the trial ends and you won’t be charged.
• Auto-renewal cancellation. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions. The current period stays active through its end date.
• Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy: reportaproblem.apple.com.
• What Premium unlocks. All numbered save state slots, the one-tap cheat code library, alternate chassis themes, and the Auto curated palette mode.

ROMs and game content

Pocketboy ships with hand-picked open-source homebrew titles whose authors granted redistribution rights (see the in-app Credits screen). Pocketboy does not ship any commercial Nintendo or third-party software. You are responsible for the legality of any ROMs you import; only use ROMs you have a personal legal right to play.

Trademarks

Game Boy and Game Boy Color are registered trademarks of Nintendo Co., Ltd. Pocketboy and Hankinsoft Development, Inc. are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Nintendo. Other trademarks (Apple, App Store, iCloud, etc.) belong to their respective owners.

Disclaimer of warranties

Pocketboy is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hankinsoft Development, Inc. disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Refer to Apple’s standard EULA for the full disclaimer language.
